From Hotel Bookings to Book Drives: The Study Supports Girls Inc.

The University City hotel launches a month-long initiative to strengthen its continued commitment to youth literacy charities

In celebration of National Literacy Month, The Study at University City is spreading its love of reading by partnering with Girls Inc. of Greater Philadelphia & Southern New Jersey.

Throughout the month of September, The Study invites its guests and the greater community to join them in supporting Girls Inc. by making a donation through the donation form further below, which the hotel will match 100%.

To drive awareness of the program, The Study's signature bookmark, which accompanies each key card distributed at check-in and affixed to the check presenter for patrons dining at the hotel’s restaurant, CO-OP Restaurant & Bar, will feature custom artwork from students of Girls Inc.'s Early Grade Literacy Program - a school based, yearlong, instructional and enrichment literacy program designed for children in kindergarten – third grades.

This literacy program helps children develop the skills and attitudes necessary to become proficient readers by the fourth grade. The program uses literacy-based enrichment activities to make reading fun while building critical early literacy skills.  Learn more about the program by visting www.girlsincpa-nj.org/early-grade-literacy

Study Hotels, whose logo is a pair of reading glasses, is hoping to transform their mission to provide guests with a place to “read, rest, reflect” into a real difference-maker within the local community.
